Salary: 80K-130K with meaningful equity

Submersive is looking for a visionary creative producer with 6+ years of experience in experiential production and 2+ years leading teams. This role is perfect for a detail-driven, resourceful, and self-motivated professional who thrives at the intersection of creativity and execution. You’ll transform ambitious concepts into fully realized, sensory-rich environments that promote a sense of awe, wonder, healing and connection. Ideal candidates have deep networks of artists, designers, and fabricators in the Austin area and a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver large-scale projects from concept to completion.


What is Submersive?

Guided by visionary founder and CEO Corvas Brinkeroff, co-founder of immersive arts and entertainment phenomenon Meow Wolf, Submersive is redefining immersive experience and wellness industries to a new category: Immersive Wellness. Our debut location in Austin, TX will blend ancient bathhouse tradition - sauna, steam, hot and cold pools - with cutting-edge neuroscience, immersive art, and interactive light, sound and video technology.  These explorable, otherworldly spaces will be designed to create measurable mental and physical state change, guiding participants through awe, euphoria, and profound connection – both with themselves and others. Based on existing scientific studies, Submersive believes that multisensory environments fusing art, science, and wellness will deliver users beyond relaxation into moments of genuine transcendence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee Timelines and Budgets: Oversee the master planning, development, and implementation of creative projects ensuring they meet timelines and budgets
  • Build Prototypes: Take the lead in building prototypes of Submersive’s concepts, creatively blending hot and cold therapies (such as steam rooms, saunas, and ice baths) with multisensory elements like light, sound, scent, and touch. This stage is essential for validating concepts and refining requirements for permanent builds. Guided by Corvas’s vision and informed by input from artists and subject-matter experts, this phase will require more independent initiative compared to more team-driven later phases.
  • Lead the Creative Team: Manage the day to day work of the creative team, fostering collaboration among artists, designers, engineers, wellness experts, and operational teams.  Define clear scopes of work, ensure accountability, and seamlessly coordinate their efforts to conceptualize, design, and deliver transformative guest experiences that harmonize art, thermal bathing, technology and neuroscience.
  • Oversee Creative Integration and Execution: Partner with leadership, architects, contractors, artists, sound engineers, vendors, and subject matter experts to integrate diverse creative disciplines into cohesive plans for execution into the permanent physical space. For example, integrating technologies such as projection mapping, augmented reality, and biofeedback with thermal environments like steam rooms and saunas.
  • Art & Installation Curation:  Work with the creative team to source and collaborate with artists and designers to curate art installations.
  • Own Vendor & Partner Relations: Cultivate relationships with and hire vendors, artists, fabricators, craftspeople, designers, and other creative consultants to execute concepts.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Deliver immersive experiences at the highest standard, prioritizing safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Desired Traits and Skills 

  • Education: BS or BA
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Creative Producer, Project Manager, or similar role within the immersive, entertainment, wellness, or hospitality industries. Familiarity with thermal baths and hydrotherapy is a plus.
  • Art and Design: A strong understanding of immersive art or experiential design.
  • Technical Know-How: Experience working with cutting-edge technologies, such as projection mapping, interactive lighting, AR/VR, or sensory-based tech.
  • Project Management: Exceptional at juggling and managing complex projects with multiple moving parts, stakeholders, and creative elements.
  • Communication: Makes no assumptions in communicating potentially important decisions and updates to leadership team and relevant collaborators. Has the patience and ability to explain technical concepts with detail and clarity. 
  • Leadership: Inspiring in leadership of creative teams.
  • Innovative: Possesses creative vision and the ability to translate abstract concepts into tangible guest experiences.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in time management with strong follow-through.
  • Persistent, proactive and resourceful with a “figure-it-out” mindset, a knack for creative problem-solving, and ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
